Deep boot prints in snow
Canyons starkly rising
To a white surface
Melt slowly in the rising heat
Until gone
No trace of passage
A stone skipped across a pond
Stretches then sinks
Repercussions to the edge
Until gone
No trace of passage
From whence to where
From here to there
A momentary flare?
